A two-hour session, held monthly, explaining in general terms the categories of documents that commonly arise when a household's affairs pass from one generation to the next, which public bodies in Malaysia ordinarily issue or receive them, and where the official published guidance for each can be read.

Originals Stay at Home

During any indexing engagement, original documents remain in the household's own space unless the family requests otherwise. Encrypted digital copies are distributed only to the named relatives the household designates.

Every Statement Cites Its Source

What exactly does Verdantia do?
Verdantia provides clerical, archival, and educational support to families managing household papers following a bereavement or in preparation for one. This means running monthly information sessions, building document indexes, and coordinating records across multiple households. It does not draft documents, offer legal opinions, value assets, or act in any capacity requiring a practising licence.
Do I need a lawyer before coming to a session?
No. The monthly session is a general information event and is open to anyone with an interest in understanding the categories of paperwork that commonly arise in Malaysian estate administration. No individual case is discussed. A referral directory of qualified legal and estate professionals is available at the door for those who identify a need for regulated advice after attending.
Will my original documents leave the house?
Not unless you ask. During the Document Locator and Index Build, the indexer visits the household, records descriptions, and scans chosen items on site. Originals remain where you keep them. If you would like Verdantia to transport fragile items for professional archival treatment, this is discussed and agreed in writing before any item moves.
How does the multi-household engagement work for families in different states?
The nine-month engagement includes a scheduled inventory visit to each participating household, wherever it is located in Malaysia. All visits are planned at a pace that suits the family. Between visits, the named coordinator keeps a running log and is reachable by telephone or written message. Quarterly review calls bring the relevant family members up to date on the consolidated index.
What does "encrypted digital copy" mean in practice?
Scanned items are saved in a password-protected archive using current file-encryption standards. A separate copy of this archive is prepared for each family member named by the household. The household decides who receives a copy. Verdantia does not retain copies after the engagement closes.
Are sessions and engagements conducted in English only?
Monthly sessions are held in English. Written materials — including the source list, the index booklet, and the custody agreement — are produced in English as standard. Families with other language needs are welcome to bring a companion to assist with translation; Verdantia staff will speak slowly and clearly. Please mention language requirements when you enquire.
What is the pricing and how is payment arranged?
The Public Information Session is RM 500 per attendee. The Document Locator and Index Build is RM 1,540 for the four-appointment engagement. Multi-Household Records Coordination is RM 4,500 for the nine-month period. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit. An engagement letter sets out the schedule of payments before any work begins.
